Design
A sales representative will discuss the requirements for the project with the customer and provide a quote within 2 to 3 business days. The free quote will take into consideration the material used, any new tooling, custom fabrication, color and finish, the quantities required per year, and the exchange rate.

Once the customer has approved the quote for a new product, our experienced custom design team takes over on developing the drawings. Using the accuracy of CAD-CAM (Computer Aided) design, the drawings for the new tool are created to exact specifications with an easy ability to redesign and adjust specifications along the way.
Once the design is complete, it is transferred to our die making facilities where the exact dimensions of the drawing are transformed into high quality extrusion tooling.
In-House Tooling
Because we handle the design of a customer’s new tooling from concept to final product, this allows for more control over the whole process and increases the cost savings to the customer. The tool also belongs to the customer and is guaranteed for life, therefore regular maintenance is included to ensure its quality.
Once the drawings reach our tool shop, our expert toolmakers create the dies from tool grade steels using a wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine) for absolute accuracy and reliability. A prototype of the custom profile is then created in aluminum and sent to the customer for approval.
Materials
Western Profiles has many different types of resins to choose from, including engineering materials. We stock all sorts of flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid virgin plastics. If cost savings is a concern, Western Profiles also recycles certain materials for reuse.

Color and Finish
Western Profiles carries over 100 colors in stock ranging from primary colors to fluorescents. From something as simple as white, of which we carry 9 different shades alone, to something as funky as glow in the dark. No matter what the challenge we use state-of-the-art technology to get whatever color match and finish that the customer can dream up.
Through the use of a spectrophotometer, Western Profiles can assure a perfect color match and finish every time, and because we use the highest grade PVC compounds available, the color will hold and endure all kinds of weather for many years to come.
