Cost Cutting
Cutting costs are always top priority for most fabricators. Western Profiles recognizes this by designing profiles that meet quality requirements as cost-effectively as possible, without sacrificing performance.
Material selection is an integral part of our design service. We can replace steel, aluminum, and wood applications with a more durable, environmentally friendly, and, best of all, cost effective plastic product.
Because we offer in-house tooling to develop new profiles, we are a one-stop shop for the development, creation, and production of new products. Among our specialties is the development of products that can be used for more than one application or refining current products to fewer parts for quicker fabrication and assembly.
This kind of thinking and forethought helps the customers keep their input costs down, and because we provide these services in house, it allows us to provide competitive pricing and quick to the market development and manufacturing of our customers’ orders, also saving our customers money, as time is money.
Quality Control
Western Profiles’ commitment is to make quality the highest priority in the organization, and as such it becomes the primary focus of every manager and every employee at every level: a total team concept. WPL employees must follow the requirements of our ISO Registration and the work instructions provided to them. But it does not stop there, a consistently high standard of quality is one of the features that have enabled Western Profiles to maintain a steady, healthy growth pattern over the years. We can never relax on our quality. The company expects each employee to make every effort to maintain and improve the quality level of each part of the standard as set out by our Quality Assurance Department.
To accomplish our goal, all profiles are rigorously scrutinized by our quality control team to ensure that they are to the customer’s precise specifications, meeting necessary tolerances and quality requirements. Using the latest technology, Western Profiles uses Optical Comparators, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and on-line gauges for checking dimensions and part function, thus improving the quality control process. In addition, each employee has his/her own digital calipers and are trained and empowered to check the product as it comes off the line. When color and reflection are important considerations, our Quality Control Department uses a state of the art Color Spectrophotometer to ensure proper color matching and finish.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting is also continuously used to improve overall quality and to help locate areas for improvement. This information is then used to better train personnel, acquire necessary equipment, and purchase the best raw materials available. All of this allows us to continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations by providing a consistently high quality product every time.
Exceptional Customer Service
